The CMO title is real — but so is the keyboard
Eleven years in digital — the last five running the eCommerce, MarTech and analytics practice at Techies Infotech, working with retail and consumer brands across the GCC, India and APAC.
My work sits where most CMOs don't go: in the technical layer. Replatforming Magento stores onto Shopify Plus. Rebuilding GA4 and server-side tracking after iOS killed third-party attribution. Restructuring technical SEO for catalogues with thousands of SKUs. Writing the schema that makes a brand citable in ChatGPT and Perplexity — not just rankable on Google.
I lead the team that ships this work, but I've never left the implementation. I still debug GTM containers, audit Core Web Vitals and build the AEO/GEO playbooks for our senior engagements. The trajectory ran from development in 2013 through senior digital roles at XenonStack and VT Netzwelt to CMO since 2021 — the technical depth comes from never leaving the implementation layer, even as the role got broader.
